The 3DUp project aims to promote communication within the construction industry to stimulate the uptake of 3D Concrete Printing (3DCP). In addition to the lack of awareness of the technology by the construction industry, the main challenges to
overcome in 3DCP relates to reinforcement strategies, building standards, robust digital fabrication framework that can be replicated in construction processes.
To overcome that, 3DUp will serve as a platform where experts can share knowledge so 3DCP can be better understood and deployed, e.g. for the construction or renovation of buildings with improved energy-efficient and sustainability aspects.
